A Day in the Life: Delivering Aid in Samburu

The terrain in Samburu County is as beautiful as it is unforgiving. For pastoralist communities living far from urban centers, accessing basic medical care often means a days-long journey on foot through harsh environments.

Our mobile medical units bridge this gap. Equipped with solar-powered refrigeration for vaccines and essential diagnostic tools, our off-road vehicles traverse dry riverbeds and rocky outcrops to reach the most isolated Manyattas.

In this field report, we document a typical Tuesday: screening seventy children for malnutrition, distributing prenatal vitamins to expectant mothers, and treating waterborne ailments. The resilience of the Samburu people is profound, but logistical support makes the critical difference between life and death.
